Summer Reading Program 2019
The 2019 Summer Reading Program will begin on Monday, June 10 and end at library closing on Friday, August 30. All kids ages 0 to up to entering 5th grade in the fall are welcome to participate! Each child will have the chance to win a grand prize and will receive a certificate and book of their choice when they complete the program.

How to Sign-Up: Just come to the Kids' Department! All your child needs to do is come to the Kids' Department anytime starting June 10 and ask to sign up. Your child will receive their Summer Reading Program log and will be ready to get started! Your child is allowed to add their "best guess" of the reading they have done since June 10 and add that time to their log if they sign up anytime after the start of the program. Kids' Department Summer Reading sign-up and stamping to receive raffle tickets will be available at any Mobile Library stops and locations during the program.

Kids Ages 0 - Entering Kindergarten in the fall: The Summer Reading Program is comprised of a sheet of different fun and free family-friendly activities. For each activity your child completes they will receive a raffle ticket for a grand prize. When your child completes all the activities they will get 5 extra raffle tickets, a book of their choice, and a certificate.

Kids Entering Grade 1 - Entering Grade 5: The Summer Reading Program will be based on the time your child reads. Every 2 hours of reading your child will get to have their log stamped and earn a grand prize raffle ticket. They will get a certificate (perfect for showing their new teachers in the fall!) for completing the Summer Reading Program when they read 30 hours as well as 5 extra raffle tickets and a book of their choice. All reading counts, including listening to audiobooks and being read to.
