RECENT UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
On May 1, 2020 Governor Baker issued an Order EFFECTIVE WEDNESDAY, MAY 6th requiring face masks or cloth face coverings in public places where social distancing is not possible. This applies to both indoor and outdoor spaces. Exceptions include children under the age of 2 and those unable to wear a mask or face covering due to a medical condition.
At the April 28, 2020 Joint Board of Health and Board of Selectmen meeting, the Board of Health unanimously voted to recommend that all members of the public who are entering stores or other essential service areas where they will come in contact with essential workers are advised to wear facial coverings to minimize the spread of COVID-19. On April 23, 2020 the Town Moderator issued a declaration postponing Town Meeting to Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 7pm. Click here for that declaration.
At the April 21, 2020 Board of Health meeting, the Board unanimously voted to require that employees who interact or come in customer contact must wear facial coverings. Click here for more information.
Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker has extended the state's stay-at-home advisory and the executive order requiring all non-essential businesses to close through May 18. They have also announced the development of a Re-Opening Advisory Board.
Governor Baker has closed all schools through the end of the 2019-2020 school year.
The Westborough Board of Health, Board of Selectmen and School Committee have issued a Local Stay at Home Advisory.
