High School Basketball (Grades 9, 10, 11, 12)
BOYS:
Grades 9-12. We attempt to set up as many teams as possible (the past few years we have had 16 teams), depending on registration numbers and volunteer coaches. New teams are formed each year, so players who have played in the past are not assured of getting on a team if they do not sign up on time. Practices begin late December/early January. Games will be played on Sundays at the High School Gyms, starting January 3 through late March. THIS IS A VERY POPULAR PROGRAM! THERE ARE LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE! A NUMBER OF BOYS WHO SIGNED UP LATE LAST YEAR WERE TURNED AWAY BECAUSE OUR ROSTERS WERE ALREADY
FILLED BEYOND CAPACITY.
GIRLS:
Grades 9-12. The number of girls signing up and people volunteering to coach will really determine what we do this year! We would like to run a program similar to the boys program. Games & Practices will be played Sunday afternoons at WHS gyms.
Fees:
Cash or Check payable to Westboro Recreation. If a financial hardship exists, fee reductions may be requested in writing to the Recreation Director. You may register for ONE other family in addition to your own, but you must bring in their form already signed and with payment at the time of registration.
Boys:
$100, $20/family late fee if received after deadline.
Girls:
$55, $20/family late fee if received after deadline.
Refund Policy:
In fairness to everyone, our policy will be strictly adhered to. Following registration and prior to first week: 100% for verifiable medical emergencies (doctor’s note required) and 50% in ALL other ituations. Refunds for verifiable medical emergencies after first day will be considered on a case by case basis. No refunds in all other situations.
Volunteers:
Average commitment is 2-4 hour per week. Our goals is two coaches per team.
