Grades 3-6 Basketball
This is a Recreational league made up of separate boys & girls teams in each grade. FUN and EQUAL PARTICIPATION are our main goals. The Grade 3 program plays in town only, the Grade 4,5 and 6 programs will play some games with Southboro and some with Westboro teams. Practices could be any week night starting in November. Games will be played December through midFebruary, typically on Saturdays, however Grade 4 home games are typically Friday evenings. TEAM ROSTERS FROM PREVIOUS YEAR WILL CHANGE.
Fees:
Cash or Check payable to Westboro Recreation. If a financial hardship exists, fee reductions may be requested in writing to the Recreation Director. You may register for ONE other family in addition to your own, but you must bring in their form already signed and with payment at the time of registration.
Grade 3-6:
$70 per player, $20/family late fee if received after deadline.
Refund Policy:
In fairness to everyone, our policy will be strictly adhered to. Following registration and prior to first week: 100% for verifiable medical emergencies (doctor’s note required) and 50% in ALL other ituations. Refunds for verifiable medical emergencies after first day will be considered on a case by case basis. No refunds in all other situations.
Volunteers:
Average commitment is 2-4 hour per week. Our goals is two coaches per team.
Team Placement Information:
Grades 3 & 4: Team placements are usually held at the Mill Pond Gym, check registration form for location and times. All players should attend and come dressed to play.
Grades 5 & 6: There are NO team placements for Gr 5 & 6. Coaches will meet with our department to determine fair and equal teams. Players will receive a call from their coach before the end of October.
