MISSION STATEMENT
TRUSTEES OF SOLDIER’ S MEMORIALS
The Trustees of Soldiers’ Memorials is established under the provisions of
Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 41. The Trustees are responsible for the
care and maintenance of Westborough’s ten war memorials as listed in the Annual Town Report.
Duties/Scope
Care and maintenance is performed by the department of public works personnel,
Town Building and Grounds staff, some contracted and some volunteer help from the Garden Club.
The Committee consists of six (6) members, one member of the Board of Selectmen, three (3) veterans and two (s) non-veterans.
Commitment
The Committee meets six (6) times a year; on the first Monday of February, April, May, October, November and December.
Meetings are generally held in the Forbes Municipal Building 2nd floor at 7:00pm.
